Our Process

Sovran Alkaline Water is a premium alkaline water, with a pH between 9.5 and 10.5, that has been purified through reverse osmosis with trace minerals added to assist in hydration and electrolytes added for taste. Our highly purified alkaline water is ionized with a ceramic conversion process that mimics nature, and at no part in the filtration process is our water exposed to electricity.

Our bodies seek to maintain homeostasis, with a perfectly balanced pH of around 7. However, many common diets and drinks are acidic in nature pulling our body out of optimal balance. Drinks such as, coffee, wine, sports drinks, and beer all are acidic in nature. Foods such as, cookies, hamburgers, tomatoes, and many meats are acidic in nature as well. Since the body seeks homeostasis it burns a significant amount of energy attempting to arrive back at a balanced pH of 7. In order to assist in bringing the body back to balance we need to counteract our dietary choices with higher alkalinity foods and drinks. This is why it is so important to drink high quality Sovran Alkaline Water. We are able to help our bodies counteract the negative impacts of common food and drink choices and allow our bodies to function the way that nature intended.

Other alkaline water companies simply take their water and use a process called electrolysis, which involves exposing your drinking water to electricity in order to increase the alkalinity in a way that is unnatural. This process In a sense creates a “false pH.” Sovran Alkaline Water never uses electricity of any kind, but instead uses a proprietary process called Ceramic Conversion to bring your water back to life with a naturally high pH, the way it should be.
